Less healthy, but happier option we splurged on was a year subscription to wine and cigar delivery. Gives me and my wife a reason to sit outside at night a couple times a week and just hang out electronics and kid free

Personal trainer. Gym membership. Massage package. I work the same hours but always find time for my trainer so I take care of myself too #lookgoodfeelgood

+ everything everyone else said and a cleaning service.

like

Regular massages or facials. Facials especially if you’re on planes a lot to help your skin.

Definitely house cleaning service. You work too hard to have to scrub your own toilets

Agree but it can buy experiences that enhance your life

like

That answer is house cleaning or yard service or any such time consuming duty you have that is better done on a regular basis and that chews up weekend time.

like

I second the subscription idea. It’s nice to come home to a little surprise waiting for you.

What do you like? My go-to to de-stress is nature. A long weekend in a cabin by a river WITHOUT cell/internet service worked wonders for me.

The wedding thing tho!

Buy time since you have so little of it now. This could be house cleaning, laundry service, meal delivery, grounds keeping (if you have a home), etc.

How about doing something that makes your living space more pleasant — new couch, etc? I’m doing some energy upgrades to keep things cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Less sexy than some of these ideas but more pleasant for me over time. My whole house fan is one of my favorite home upgrades. Boring but awesome!

Super luxurious sheets and towels. Treat yourself. Also agree with facials and in home massage

How do you approach usability testing for new onboarding sequences? I work with a variety of SaaS businesses and recently requests have come in to test onboarding prototypes.

New users are the first to touch onboarding so how do I recruit the appropriate participants to test? Recruiting new users doesn’t seem feasible, I would think we should run A/B tests and cross-check analytics to measure success? Any insight is appreciated!

I've normally been part of a small team so a general policy wasn't explicit or had geographical region distribution (which no longer makes sense in a world of remote first hiring).

Does anyone work in a school where they are taking steps to fix the current boy achievement problem in the nation? Boys are falling further and further behind girls by every metric possible. College enrollment rates are now 60/40. Boys are disciplined and suspended way more. Boys are medicated much more. Girls are highest ranked students by 7 to 3. 1 in 8 of all American males are unemployed. There is a major boy crisis in America.
