Select the filtered range, press Ctrl+g, then press Alt+s+y. You’ll have an option to select “visible cells” only. Press okay and you’ll be able to just copy and paste from there.
I think that you can’t paste in Col B because A has been filtered. Thus, the rest of the rows are “hiding” what you can do is copy them as A1 said, and then unfiltered Col A and just paste on B whatever you copy since the beginning.
You can copy only the filtered data if you select the cells directly and not the whole column range (e.g. A1:A500, not A:A)
[Ctrl] [Shift] [Down Arrow] then [Ctrl C]
Set b=a in only visible cells
set your filter in a, select all visible cells in b (alt + ;), type =, navigate to cell to the left, then hit ctrl + enter to fill selected cells
Sweet! Alt + ; is super useful 👍🏼
Use select visible cells only after highlighting, then copy and paste
Or, I believe that you can convert the range to a table, filter the data, and then directly copy and paste the filtered cells without worrying about selecting visible cells. As noted above, you will still need to unfiltered the table before pasting to column “B”...
Can you not just put formula in col b to achieve the filter you want?
