I have a final interview tomorrow with Leidos, for a Security Software Engineer (Salesforce).

Couple of questions for you guys, if you don’t mind!

1) What are the odds of negotiating a sign-on bonus?
2) How are the benefits? How much PTO, and is it front loaded?
3)Tuition reimbursement? If any, does it apply for certifications also?

I believe if the position requires a clearance than the answer should be yes about 20 something days and yes if not I'm not sure

like

1- Depends on the contract and position level, if possible you may get a few thousand. I would try to negotiate your base more though if I was you. (Raises are usually only 3%-3.5%.
2- Benefits are decent especially if it’s just your self. Get a bit pricey if you have dependents.
3- There is reimbursement, including certain certifications. Depending on the contract you are working, they are usually open to ones that may not be on blanket reimbursement also.

Hi everyone! How did you discuss with your boss all the time you’d be needing to take off for appointments? My boss absolutely hates when people take time off. Company policy is at least a week ahead of time - she says she needs at least 2. Also when someone requests off a couple days in March then a couple days in April for example, she gets annoyed and says they are requesting too much time (even if they have plenty of PTO available).

On top of marketing, I also have to service a few larger accounts that are difficult. My salary is in the $70k range and I feel it’s a bit on the low end…

Question for the Biglaw Bowl: How common is it to take a pay cut when being promoted from associate to income partner? I had heard about this happening at some lower ranked V100 firms. But now that I’m more senior and my friends are making partner, it sounds like it’s a lot more common than I thought and happens at firms where I wouldn’t expect it. Does anyone here have any insight into this? How common is it, how much of a pay cut, and how long until your pay catches up to associate pay?
