I have a flipped classroom and my biggest challenge today is that my high school students don’t slow down long enough to read the directions/ instructions/ deliverables. Anyone see this happening?

My 4th grade class didn’t show up today because the teachers are upset that student behaviors that are an issue in music are carrying over to their classroom. I understand their frustration, but nothing was communicated with me. I even thought things were going better this week.

What are you planning to implement this school year to focus on equity in your own classroom or campus wide?

I am overwhelmed by the choices for online tools this year. So far, I am using Kami for annotations, google docs for writing, google slides for student presentations, and google forms for quizzes and short answers. What am I missing? Also, I have been preparing PPTs to teach from and setting up all work in Google Classroom across 11 classes. It is taking a lot of time. Dows anyone have suggestions for cutting the prep down?

Currently have a 5th grade girl who is struggling with classroom behaviors and choices. When questioned, she says she wants to be a boy, but her parents won’t allow it. My baby starts daycare in 2 weeks, she is 4 months old. I am starting to get concerned about Covid for her since she can’t get vaccinated yet and I’ve heard the Delta variant hits kids harder. My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience?
