Had an Excel assessment yesterday as the second to last step in an interview process. I was using a new computer and long story short, had some technical difficulties (or maybe just my own incompetence under stress) and ended up only getting through half of the test. I’m on the fence about emailing my recruiter and explaining the circumstances/asking for a retest. Don’t want to come off like I’m complaining but also don’t want this to be the reason I don’t move forward. Any advice appreciated…

Anyone else feeling super overwhelmed with the initial steps of planning? I’m struggling to pick a venue because that contributes so much to the rest of the day (if their food is good, how far will guests have to drive, does the town have nice hotels and airbnbs, does it 🤢 “represent us as a couple”, is it not too expensive). Any tips on how to drown out other peoples opinions as a bride who is very worried about making her guests have a good time?
Freelance rates for strategy and research freelancers? I feel like most answers in rate sharing posts are from CD/ACD/AD/CW. I’m curious how much they differ from the strategy side of things. I’ll go first in the comments.

I have a question about audit in Europe. Is the work life balance just as bad? As the stereotype goes, they work as a means to live rather than living to work. If that is true, what is different if the type of work is more or less the same?
So the general consensus is if you’re asked to do 8+ hours of work on a file, have it reflected on your schedule... I have a bunch of clean up for my last file because of review notes left on my last day/client gave more support on last day. But I’m already fully booked on another file all of next week - what should I do?

So I met up with an old friend of mine and she is not working at the moment. She was a senior level auditor. I thought about asking her to come back to public accounting and decided not to because this job sucked so much. I know it is bad, why did I put myself through and made second year audit manager.
