Food. Like delivery dinner. The best things I got from friends were home cooked meals or delivery pizza.

Calm app? Hello fresh is style food style, but pre-made, just heat? A wine subscription? ftr...I have no children and no idea...You're a sweet friend, though, for doing this!

Food delivery, gift card for Grub Hub, grocery delivery etc. For the mom maybe some really soft comfy pjs but nothing with a tight or bothersome waistband. Maybe a subscription to a streaming service.

like

Spotify subscription in addition to the above? I found when I was home with the baby I just needed some noise in the house to get myself out of my head/mark time passing

Anyone here have step kids? Would appreciate any advice on how you went about splitting inheritance amongst biological and step children. My wife and I are drafting our wills, and between my own money and family’s money (from my father), we have quite a bit to pass down. I do not feel my step children are entitled to the same split as my biological children, but my wife feels differently. This is a very delicate situation and I want to ensure a fair outcome for all.

Gift idea for my mom who has been helping so much with baby? She’s not into designer items. Was thinking furniture or a new car when prices calm down but those can’t be surprises. She’s very covid conscious, or would love to take her on a nice spa day or vacation. No price limit.

Is there anyone that is teaching from home and your students have returned to school? How did you get permission to do that and how does that work with kids in the classroom? I am guessing there has to be an adult in the room while the students are in there but is there another teacher during their planning or do you have to get a sub? Our reentry has been delayed and I am working with HR to try and stay home while students aren’t there but it looks like I’m going to have to take some Parental Leave once students do return because there is not a plan otherwise.

What is your HH income, age of your kids and how much do you spend on childcare per year including summer camps etc ? I am a recent single mother with 2 kids ( 3 years , 9 months ) and childcare takes 50% of my take home. Utilities, food etc takes remaining 50% with almost nothing to spare. Trying to predict how long I can do this etc. any tips would be helpful ? My ex pays the mortgage which is 50% of childcare right now. I have a nanny 9 to 5. I save zero and it scares me .

EY Parental leave question: how many weeks were you actually out? When I took my leave 3 years ago, I counted total of 21 weeks of leave. That’s including one firm winter holiday week. I remember I initially thought I would be back after 16 weeks, but then in the middle of my time off I got an email from Leave Team with the breakdown and it actually was 21 weeks. Can someone who took leave recently tell me the actual number of weeks?

Today, I got up, made coffee, changed and fed the baby, prepped a presentation, forgot my 6yo’s Zoom class, got her up and on the Zoom class, presented ugly news to my MD, did a school drive-by parade, fed the kids lunch, met with my directs, prepped the follow ups from the MD presentation, taught 4 homeschool lessons, said goodbye to my mentor, prepped for a pitch, cooked dinner, made my weekend to-do list, gave two baths, and scooped poop out of one bath. It was a slow day.
