I have a friend who unfortunately was just laid off as a bank teller. He has four years of experience, but has never done consulting. Is this something that he could try his hand at? Or do you think that he should have more experience or certifications under his belt first? Trying to see if he can start as a consultant.

People get into consulting from all sorts of backgrounds, but the question you should be asking is what skills he brings to the table, what would make him an asset to a consulting team? Being at Guidehouse, does he have similar skills to you? If not, what gaps does he have?

I worked with contractors to FT hires at Guidehouse making good money and they only had their associates degree but they were working on their bachelors

Yeah he has his bachelors. But this is good to know!

Whats his undergrad degree?

If he, at minimum, has a bachelors degree, your friend can certainly apply to entry-level consulting roles. Unfortunately, that bachelors degree seems to be a qualification that is not going away.

Hi, so I was told on Friday that today (Tuesday) would be my last day at my job, and I know it was unwarranted and unfair, but it was a really toxic work environment, and I was already miserable, so it wasn’t a place I wanted to stay. I had only been there a few months, does being terminated affect me getting my next job/anyone have stories of success after getting fired? Feeling really down.

Anyone ever sit back and think about the problem of the commons? There is alot of rhetoric pitting democrats vs republican. Honeslty it seem to be more similar to a game then politics, yet society as a whole seems to be deteriorating. But those elected keep getting rich while others are begging for help, i mean dont get me wrong i get fired today or tomorrow, i may struggle a bit but for the most part will land on my feet..but why has it become so dismissive. I agree and disagree with both sides
