Go. You’ll feel real silly if you don’t and then you never get sick.
There are 6 (?) contained cases in a city of 10,000,000 people. Go and enjoy the wedding
I would not spread fear with a question like this on the Internet, throw my adult pants on, do some actual research, think about it, and make a decision for myself.
^^^THIS! And I will add - Stop being lazy and become informed. You know reading is fundamental.
Do we really need to be telling this person to “put adult pants on” and “grow up” for crowd sourcing something we’re all constantly speculating about anyway? Be kind to each other like what the hell?
My first thought reading this too. People are brutal. OP could be thinking not just of themselves but others, and how they can help reduce the spread of the virus.
With the way it is being handled in the US it doesn’t matter what you do. It will be wherever you live soon enough. You know how many people from California just flew to your state today? Whatever happens is going to happen.
Wash your hands. Carry hand sanitizer. Wipe down armrests and touch TVs on the plane. Don’t touch your face.
Those are all things you should be doing anyways.
Enjoy the trip!
You’ll be fine
I would grow up.
Go
6 confirmed cases means at least 1000 unconfirmed.
Coronavirus is already where you are. So you’re not at anymore risk going to LA
Lol of course it has. It’s been spreading for weeks unchecked. They just haven’t been testing people and most symptoms are mild so people don’t go to the doctor.
I would go - if you bought plane tickets they may not refund them. Depending on how close you are to this friend - you might regret it later if you don’t :-/.
As a germaphobe and hypochondriac I would say unless you have a compromised immune system or live with someone who has one, you’ll probably be fine. Weddings are once in a lifetime opportunities!
Just looking for an excuse to not go?
Sorry to throw a curveball into this mix but I wouldn’t go. Travel in general makes it easier to get sick so for me I wouldn’t risk it. But call your doctor and ask!
I’m flying to LA next week. I questioned whether or not I should go for about a day. I decided that I’m still going, take precautions and have fun.
