Hi everyone! Curious if anyone here works for Slack and can shed a little light on the culture and perhaps offer a referral for an associate brand manager position I just saw on LinkedIn. With the Salesforce acquisition are SF employees allowed to refer for Slack roles? Currently a senior analyst with 4 YOE looking to break into a branding role! Thanks in advance.

Good call with hiding it. I'd continue to do so.
It’s fine as long as you don’t look like this
Lol nah. Just on my arms. No one would know if I had them if I wear long sleeve shirt

Do you mean informal work outings, or in your free time? If the latter I hope you start wearing tshirts, too.

And I don't work in banking, so take this with a grain or bucket of salt, but as someone with 0 tattoos I feel I'm the nonconformist today. All of my friends have one, even if hidden, as do my coworkers.
I think it depends on your culture. I work at a law firm that at some point was pretty traditional (getting more business casual now). There was a summer associate that has a lot of tattoos and even a neck tattoo. Couldn’t tell at work bc of his suits, but they were not hidden at outings. Nobody cared.

Depending on the culture of the company I’d own it
Someone on my team had a sleeve and still rocked it like it wasn’t an issue. They got promoted.
Never understood the issue around tattoos to be honest. I have quite a few as well and during business meetings, they are obviously covered. Anything informal in which I am wearing a T-shirt, they are showing.
I had a partner at an old firm and a few senior managers along the way that had sleeves/half sleeves/random forearm tattoos.

Woman lawyer here and same issue. Waiting until I'm in my most profitable mid level years to show my arms :(

I have old self harm scars on my arms and I hide them around colleagues, period. Not a big deal in the office because it’s frigid from the AC in the summer but I can see it being really inconvenient otherwise. Tattoos are becoming way more mainstream and I’d probably be fine showing them in certain situations where everyone is dressed casually.

Tattoos are a great way to mask those scars
