I am currently on leave after having my baby and received word from my boss/owner of the agency that we are downsizing. He communicated a decrease of my hours from full time to part time upon my return. Hi All, recently I gave tests of a company (2 weeks back). Tests went okay. Quant i could not answer a some of the answers, but remaining two tests (one on ML, one on reasoning) i am sure I got almost every question right. I have not heard back from them yet. I got a job offer from what it seems a great company this week. It seems like a great fit, the comp package is so good. I had great conversations with both recruiter and members of the legal team. I am very excited, however when I told my current employer they counter-offered the other company. Now I don’t know what to do. It’s such a difficult decision. On the one hand I do want to leave my current job due to a myriad of reasons but on the other Im afraid I might be making a mistake. Advice?

Question about PgM interview coming up. For situational questions like “how would you manage a difficult employee”, etc, is it better to respond with a time when you actually did that or respond with a hypothetical?

I was thinking “how would you” = hypothetical
and “tell me a time…” = actually recounting a time but I’m wondering if it’s interchangeable? Just don’t want to get dinged for answering the wrong way
