Hi guys, got a verbal offer from Deloitte GPS as a consultant for lower 80k and 7k sign on bonus. The recruiter was aiming to hire me for 110k as a SC when we started talking but the hiring manager stated I don’t have enough consulting experience. Why low-balling me ? Is this common ?
I am currently on leave after having my baby and received word from my boss/owner of the agency that we are downsizing. He communicated a decrease of my hours from full time to part time upon my return. I have a great set of skills that have made me successful in my unique position (graphic design for advertisements, logo creation, marketing initiatives, office swag) in addition to being a licensed insurance agent. Does anyone have any advice for how I navigate this change?
Anyone have ideas for a public relations manager with 5 years of experience looking to move out of PR and into a role that focuses on writing, creativity, or project management? I don’t like the media relations portion of what I do but have found I like writing, brainstorming campaign ideas, and helping teams stay on track to deliver their best work. For more context, I have mostly music PR experience.
Looking to make an exit to FAANG (mostly Apple, FB, and Google) into their RE teams. Would really appreciate any info/advice/referrals that could help make this happen. Thanks in advance!
I’m thinking in taking AWS and Azure courses to beef up my CV, as I’m looking to break into a sales role in tech. I’ve had mixed feedback from recruiters saying it would be beneficial and others saying it won’t help because my background and skill sets lie with sales and people. Any thoughts on this? If it helps, I’ve been working as a senior negotiator in prime residential real estate (London, UK) for 3 years. I also have 5 years experience running my own business in the coffee industry.
What’s the average salary for a senior 1 position at EY west region? I got an offer today but not sure if it’s a good one.

Anyone have experience with eBay negotiations? Tips on what to negotiate for, or what to be mindful of? Current TC from offer would be lower than my salary....
Was intrigued by the role and company, and knew a 10-15% raise was probably the max I could get and now I'm even in a bigger shock.
Is UWMC next RKT. Waiting to get rid of it. Still at 20%. Hope it shoots up like RKT and give me chance to exit.
I have cleared all the interview rounds (WebEx & HR on call) for the position: VERIFIER, and also submitted documents (authentic as per my knowledge) for background verification on Aug. 25, 2022.
How much time usually ICICI bank takes to generate Offer Letter, after all the verification process??
Starting to look at my options to grow in my career. Is a Product Designer the same role as a User Experience Designer or are there nuances?
Considering an exit to a startup that just completed a solid series B. They’re willing to provide competitive comp package and surprised how large the base is for a startup. Has me concerned about being on the high end and being the first person that comes to mind when it’s time to pinch a few pennies or clean up the books ahead of future rounds/IPO. Valid concern or am I overthinking it?
Do you typically get paid more if you go directly through a company’s recruiters or through a third party recruiter? I’m getting messages from both for the same role

I'm getting a MAcc to career change to forensic accounting. What opportunities are available to me with a data analytics heavy MAcc? I'm also tacking on 2 graduate certificates in Applied Statistics and International Economic Policy? For those in the field, would that be useful or not useful (i.e. waste of time)? I'm interested in investigations but also analytics, financial modeling, and expert witness services. Throw in salary potential for bonus points. I'll be getting my CPA, CFE, and CAMS.
Worked for a small company and the owners recently sold the company. The new company is having us sign an MOU… should I be worried?

Hi All, recently I gave tests of a company (2 weeks back). Tests went okay. Quant i could not answer a some of the answers, but remaining two tests (one on ML, one on reasoning) i am sure I got almost every question right. I have not heard back from them yet. Yesterday the head of analytics of that company visited my LinkedIn profile. I wanted to check if i should approach him on LinkedIn and if yes, how should I do it? What shall I message him?
Or is it better to wait?
I was recently hired as an event coordinator/project manager for my company. Are there any online certification courses I could take to freshen up my skills? I would also love book recommendations or trade article recommendations. Thank you in advance
Has anyone tested out the future app? Worth it?
I got a job offer from what it seems a great company this week. It seems like a great fit, the comp package is so good. I had great conversations with both recruiter and members of the legal team. I am very excited, however when I told my current employer they counter-offered the other company. Now I don’t know what to do. It’s such a difficult decision. On the one hand I do want to leave my current job due to a myriad of reasons but on the other Im afraid I might be making a mistake. Advice?
For people changing companies recently, what was your reason for leaving and why did you choose where you went?

I am a consultant with almost 3 years of experience. I was hoping for L4 but was recommended for L3 TAM role…is that entry level?

Had a team match call before hiring committee and the Hiring manager said he'd let the recruiter know by the next day. Recruiter came back and said we won't know for another week cuz there's more candidates to review. Does this mean I probably won't be matched with that team?

Hi! How easy it is to move within the company? I applied for a role but HR said I would be a best fit for another role. I am not too excited about the role they suggested and it doesn’t fully fit with my career plan, but still it would be a job I can do and I am certain I could learn a lot.
Would you apply, hope to get the job, then change when you are in or look for a job elsewhere? (Background: I am obsessed with wanting to work for Google)
Anyone used relocation package from google? What options did you all use ( temp housing, etc) and are there any gotchas I should be aware of? Or anything cool that I should know of?

Any Googlers take a job on the east coast where most/all peers are on west coast? In a team match and the main hold up is all the people I’d work with are west coast, which out mean my 5/6pm would end at 8/9pm. I’m married with young kids and wondering if anyone has gone through this and has input?
I made it to the team matching phase! I had a meeting yesterday with a manager that would potentially be my manager and I think it went well. Does anybody know how likely it is for me to get an offer or to be matched? Thanks!
Currently in the interview process for an account manager role on the east coast. What is the typical compensation for this role? Is it typically heavily bonus based? Trying to weigh my options where I am coming from a tech company with a good salary and opportunity to get promoted by end of year.
I'm applying to a compliance role at Google, I have 10 yes banking and consulting experience, I was hoping to gain insight on Google's recruitment process for non tech. Google Atlanta if that makes a difference
Hi friends :)
I have a marketing science interview coming up - any tips on what to expect?
Question about PgM interview coming up. For situational questions like “how would you manage a difficult employee”, etc, is it better to respond with a time when you actually did that or respond with a hypothetical?
I was thinking “how would you” = hypothetical
and “tell me a time…” = actually recounting a time but I’m wondering if it’s interchangeable? Just don’t want to get dinged for answering the wrong way
