I have a N95 respirator. Can I use it once, let it dry for a few days, and then reuse again, since they said the virus will typically not survive for more than a few days on inanimate surfaces?

M1 - that’s ridiculous. Of course the mask is effective in parenting you from inhaling corona virus. That’s what it’s made for. Where on earth did you come up with this false information?

Untrue. Lots of people in NY and all over contracted it in the air. If an infected person coughs in your space, you will most likely end up inhaling the virus. #truth

I remember this conversation a month ago when everyone was like “masks are useless even N95 and they make you touch your face more”. It’s funny how much people’s opinion change when shit happens here instead of halfway across the world...

I saw something online about baking them but seemed odd. If you’re using it to go to the store once every week-ish, it beats nothing. I would wipe the inside/edges that touch your face with a Lysol though! Stay safe!

Yes. Also unless you are in an aerosol-generating environment (e.g. sticking a breathing tube down someone’s throat) you really don’t need N95. The mask is primarily effective to stop you from touching your face. Stand far away from people who might be sick to avoid getting coughed on.

Uh, how are you so sure that they all “contracted it in the air”? If they all said someone coughed in my face then sure, but otherwise it’s much more likely they got it from physically touching a hundred surfaces where someone had coughed on some, and then they unwittingly touched their face. Then that person doesn’t show symptoms for several days and infect other surfaces that come into contact with other people. If it truly was airborne do you even think you would be safe living in your apartment where air is constantly being leaked in through windows, doorways, and HVACs?

I don’t have a car and increasingly worried about riding Ubers. Am I being paranoid? I live in Philly. My state is sandwiched between NY, MA and DMV where there are increasing number of cases.

What to do when very senior clients made references to your age...? I’m 30 years old but happen to look very young and people would openly say things like “people your age” and leadership would laugh
