I have a potential lead at a new firm, primary client is the federal government. Worried that jumping to federal consulting this early in my career will prevent me from moving to commercial work in the future. Has anyone been able to shift from federal work to commercial or is the transition not possible?

How do you prove to HR that your micromanager is retaliating against you for speaking up? For context, last week I brought up to my manager that he can’t use the “I’m the manager” excuse every time to get my team and I to do stuff without a valid business reason behind. By EOD friday, he pings me and assigns me a project and tells me that I’m stationed at another building and to collect my belongings. He didn’t give me clear instructions or clarified who I’m going to be working with.

I have severe cramps on the first two days of my period. Unfortunately, all of my team members are male, and my work has a quick turnaround with the client (required to deliver the deliverable within 2-3 hours). So pretty much you work In consulting, get paid half of what fang people make and In many cases work IB hours to meet clients continually changing demands . All the while the consulting project is built on a half thought out rushed tech stack/architecture? Meanwhile tech companies expose their employees to best in bread tech stacks?
