I have a question…..how do you handle working in an toxic environment that is your career path? Like I love what I do I don’t like the politics and cliques in the workplace?

I left. My health is better because of it.

You don’t. Find a better work culture - not worth your mental health.

There's no such thing as a perfect job. If you love 80% of what your role involves, you can easily handle the unpleasant 20%. However, if the toxic part becomes predominant, it's best to leave. You can still stay on your career path if that's what you want, just with a different company.

Looking to get into a CRE analyst position. I’m in my early 40’s and have been a landlord and doing fox and flips for my own business. I graduated in 2018 and minored in real estate. In striking out in the few interviews I’ve gotten but haven’t had much luck w my resume despite accolades from those that have reviewed it. Wondering if it’s an age thing or maybe being self employed is a turn off. Any suggestions?

Do intense interviews usually reflect a toxic work culture? I’ve been interviewing with multiple companies and I feel like some I can tell they were excited about me vs others i felt were more condescending. Both wanted to move me forward but I do feel that interviews is a two way street.

I have been in Product Management for a while and hit the point where I feel like to move to the next step in my career I will not be doing things I enjoy much- such as spending time on creating decks and documents instead of being part of delivery and execution. I really enjoy research part of my work and working with data, love sql etc. Today I make around 180K, what roles should I look into? Can I switch without pay cut?

Anyone willing to refer me to the following-

What’s the best way to start working in the automotive industry?
I’m 24, I have a BSc in Marketing and 4 years of work experience in marketing as well. I’ll start my MIM at Bocconi next month and my dream is to work at Lamborghini or Ferrari.

I got a chance? I’ll earn the MSc at 26, Will I be too old to change industry (from consulting to automotive)?

Any tip to join this industry after the MSc is extremely appreciated!

I have consulting and tech experience and I’m looking to pivot into tech sales. Does anyone think this is doable and have any suggestions for companies to look into? Hi all,

In the summer of 2021 I finished my BBA and started working since then. As a personal achievement, I would like to do a master's degree as well (although I am not sure in what). Since master's degrees are in general quite an expensive step to take, I was thinking of asking my company to sponsor me.

When it comes to trainings my company reimburses them, but I have to pay upfront. What are you experiences with sponsoring/masters while working? And do you have any tips?

Anyone know how to get a position as an HRBP without HRPB experience? All positions I've looked at want previous experience. Would over 5 years of HR experience and a PHR suffice, or what skills should be added to that?

Worried about being branded a job hopper or flaky. First job out of college was a BDR at big tech lasted 16 months, left to take a AM role at a better tech company. Been there 10 months, it’s fine but really uninspiring. My performance is good but I don’t see much of a track for promotion or more money. Mostly just not passionate about the work.

Work remotely for a company going through major changes. Supervisor has been focused on these initiatives for the last 3 months. Have been doing supervisor’s job and my own for that time . No end in sight. No acknowledgement for leadership. No transparency into changes. New VP has not bothered to learn employees or skill sets. Just hired someone without opening a req or announcing open position whose job description matches much of mine. Found out in email to entire org. Any reason to stay?

Thinking of pivoting (in the next few years) from a big4 consulting firm making decent money to something more meaningful (to me) and hands-on but maybe seen as “lower”. I’m willing and able to go back to school or relocate for a new career, and as long as I can pay bills & save some, money isn’t a huge deal to me.

Some (def not all) ideas I’m spitballing:
Forestry services
Seasonal work in national parks
Radiology tech

Talk me into/out of it!

Study LinkedIn. Look at people who are where you want to be tomorrow. Check their profile. Go through many more of such. Then wisely navigate through the best approaches used and implement the same.
