I realize it sounds a little trite - but I’ve found meditation helpful. It forces me to be calm for at least 5 minutes a day — and I notice that I’m more efficient afterwards.

Make a to-do on Sunday night or Monday morning for what you need to accomplish during the entire week. Then break down the to-do list for each day - you could make one each morning for your day. After that, you can prioritize each task on your to do list. It helps me a lot and I love crossing off things on my to-do list.

I have been a slow riser for most of my life and have found that having an established routine helps me a lot. Snoozing takes personal willpower to avoid, but after that, I follow my routine. I also know how long it takes me to go through my routine (an hour) so I plan accordingly

I meal prep and set myself up for the week on Sunday night. When Monday morning goes well it feels like the rest of my week does too. Also, structured procrastination: If you don't have a routine each day you have to follow or have some mornings where you don't have to be at the office early, set yourself up for productive activities like reading a hard copy news magazine (so you don't get distracted on your phone), do the dishes, pack lunch. If you want to create a regular wake up time, I recommend finding a regular morning workout class you can go to. I sympathize with being a bit slower to leave for work in the morning, but I find on those days I'm much less mad at myself about it if I've done something like a small household chore or something for personal improvement because it checks a box I'd otherwise be trying to check after work hours

Honestly, it doesn't have to be fancy. All meal prep really is at its core is making enough food earlier in the week to have ready to go meals later in the week. I cook about 4 servings of 3 different dishes on Sundays so my lunches and dinners just need to be packed/reheated during the week. I usually do one slow cooker meal, a meat-veggie-grain/carb meal (e.g. Cajun chicken, broccoli, sweet potatoes), and then something fun (e.g. butternut squash casserole or tuna burgers)
