Hello Fishes, I have an offer for 22.5 lpa for Senior Analyst role - 7 years relevant work ex. I also have another offer from deloitte usi for Assistant manager role for 22 lpa. PwC it's an individual contributor role. Whereas in deloitte it's a team manager role. For my work life balance and flexibility is very important as I have a 10 month old baby. Can you please suggest which company offers better wlb and flex? @Deloitte USI

Here to relate. 5months and 17lbs. And you’re right, people always say that! I’m not worried at all either and it is kind of annoying bc I love his chunks!

I had a skinny baby and people made similar, stupid comments. I just said ‘oh, she’s perfect the way she is!’
Im a petite woman, about 5’2” size 2 - my baby was a giant from 4-9 months. People would literally yell across parking lots at us - “look at those thighs!” It was weird but I largely wrote it off as people just loving chunky babies.
Generally though, let’s just not commit on bodies of any shape, size, or age.
My 6 month old was 21 lbs and 28”. We got tons of body comments. It did bother me a bit, but whatever, he’s just a giant kid - 98th %ile for height and 94th %ile for weight at 15 months.
People used to ALWAYS say this about our totally normal girl. “Oh she’s 3 months, she’s huge!!”. I started responding with “yes she is thriving - she’s doing so great”. End of.
I thought it was a good sign if your baby is chunky bc it means they’re really nourished? Also chunky babies are cuter… tbh if it was me I would just be direct w people and say that the baby is healthy according to the pediatrician and the fact that of all the things they could express concern about they choose weight says more about them and our society than anything else. You could also reference all the research showing how harmful it is to weight shame young children, esp when the weight shaming is coming from the parents.

It is insane to me that people do this… have you tried educating them on how rude of a comment it is to make? They won’t realize until someone calls them out on it.
To repeat offenders, I have said I prefer you not comment on his body unless it’s to tell him how perfect he is. I’ve had people get defensive back and tell me that I’m taking it the wrong way. 🙄

Don't give them the attention and ignore them. As long as your baby is going to his/her checkouts and the doctor is OK with the weight height proportion everything is OK.
