Interviewing with Elixirr next week for a (Senior) Consultant role in NYC; recruiter connected me to opportunity. Concerns are that they do more execution than strategy and quoted compensation at $115K might be lower than industry average. Would appreciate any insight on reputation and career development prospects.

Just joined Deloitte in July out of UG, but want to make move to MBB. Is it a good idea to start applying right away or do I need more experience before making the jump?
I took the bar July 2021 and had a screening interview with Fragomen about 2 weeks ago. They seemed interested and open to interviewing as a contract to hire attorney. The individual mentioned to keep them updated on my bad results. I was just wondering if anyone’s been in a similar situation and if any offers came about from such a situation? - from a bar applicant eagerly awaiting results
Got rejected in technical round for networking profile. Did a lot of hard work to crack interview. But didn't make it. Feeling frustrated. Persons with least knowledge got the job a year before, now gained good experience by working on technologies say that you will be rejected if they refer me to their organization. So frustrated I am. Not getting a break doe a good profile. Blood job has sucked me up.

After second round of interview, the recruiter said we are in holding pattern and there is some delay. What does a "holding pattern" in recruiting process at EY mean?
Advice needed! I was laid off in Jan and since then I’ve been building my own practice (which I started last year and was doing on the side). Since Covid happened, work has been a lot slower so I started applying for jobs. I got two job offers in these past couple weeks, but the problem is that neither is in the area I want to practice, though the experience from one of them would be probably useful in the future. Ultimately I want to have my own practice, but my dilemma is that as a 3rd (cont.)
Any good books on how to be liked or get along with others? Looking back in my career, I’ve always had friction my manager and disliked by more than one coworker. It very may well be me and I want to change. I think I have issues with authority and grew up as an only child, if that’s relevant. 30’s F
Starting a new role soon (PM role - Biz Ops) Folks that have made the transition, what type of prep would you do in the weeks leading up?
So I’ve finally got my first executive opportunity!! However as a very young -looking POC woman, my biggest struggle is unfortunately first impressions and power dynamics. Ive countered this at my last role as I was there for 10 years, had a proven track record, good rep, knew a lot of people etc - but now I don’t have that luxury! Does anyone have any tangible tips on: - how to build relationships when joining remotely - cues/behaviours you use for initial impact and influence
I’ve put on about 20 lbs during covid lockdowns and haven’t lost a pound since. My SO loves me but (and I agree) has always been big about us keeping appearance and weight in check, first for our health but also for overall attraction. His take is if a disease somehow made me put on weight there’s not a comment he would make but in this case it’s really bad exercise and diet habits. I don’t disagree but I’ve never been so far from my target weight that I just don’t know where and how (cont)
2nd year consultant here. Partner on the project called me up and let me know that my manager is being let go this Friday, and wants me to step into his role. The manager doesn’t know this yet, contd.
Is getting a small, simple nose ring/stud an issue if you’re client facing? I’m starting FT in January but I’ve heard mixed comments. Will it be a problem as I move up? I’ve been meaning to get it since forever but now I’m unsure…
What's the starting base salary like for Senior Associates at TSG? Anyone willing to share numbers would be much appreciated.
Anyone in the short term rental market? I think we are going to see more and more people staying in Airbnb’s versus hotels even after post-covid. Been looking at a few markets to invest in - but wanted to see if anyone else here has.
I just got laid off and I just don’t know what to say “if” I ever get an interview. Any tips would be appreciated. I know when you get laid off, no one wants to hire you.
Has anyone interviewed for the Amazon Customer Practice Manager role? Are the interview questions and progression similar to the other Amazon roles? I am not seeing much out there on this specific job.

Anyone else lose a bit of motivation in consulting? Offering strategic recommendations and then walking away to join a new client? I miss working on issues in industry and seeing how my work is improving program performance :/
What are peoples thoughts on two different career paths within public accounting. One is the typical longer hours like 55 hours or more during busy season and the other one is 40 hours a week all year long with a reduced salary, almost like a reduced schedule employee. The reduced hour career path allows you to enjoy whatever you enjoy about public without the long hours but your career progression will be similar to industry and the other path is pretty much what it is now. Thoughts?
which one of you going off on travel day...
