I would get a Dyson instead of blowouts, a one time cost and it really is as good.
I second doing your nails at home! I started doing them at home using soft gel full cover tips (check out Apres/gelx or Amazon Beetles brand) by following YouTube videos and haven’t looked back. I’ve probably spent $200-300 for all of my supplies so far and have gotten 9+ months of mani/pedis, it’s so worth it not having to go to the nail salon for mediocre nails.
Agree with tret it transformed my skin. $10 per tube on insurance.
Would totally put the money towards skin (product and/or treatment).
I only get mani at the salon when I have a big vacation or special event. Personally I don’t really get blowouts (unless I have a big event or something which is def an exception)
Used to get monthly facials but I moved and now I need to find a good treatment + microcurrent + LED facial. Any recs in NYC welcome ☺️
The more you invest in skin (not just money, but time and consistency of day/night routine that’s right for your skin - could be as low cost as cerave as long as it’s consistent and follows cleanse/tone/serum/moisturize/spf system), the less you will have to invest in makeup.
But also, Botox 😜
$500 per month is not a SMALL beauty budget. That's more than some of us spend in 5 years.
Coach
I spend 500 or more a month. Self care is a top priority for me 😊
I just started tret and already feel like my skin is more "glowy"! I'd see what you prioritize, for me I do my nails at home and put my $ to laser hair removal and focus on skincare (lots of sheet masks and sunscreen).
I’d put some money towards getting a really good chemical peel at least once per quarter.
Skin skin skin
I do monthly facials and buy one professional grade skin care product each month as well
Coach
Hydra-facial1x a month and micro needling every quarter.
Maybe do you nails at home, I personally spend money on my skincare, lotion for body, I did nanoblanding on my eyebrows and now it’s looks perfect every day and so natural.
Do you have a link to the instagram page where you got it done? super interested in it, thank you!
I love Ilia makeup - the skin tint and their multistick blush
Daily SPF(40+), Vitamin C serum & Retinol for night. This will pay off in the long run 😉
I recently started tinting my eyebrows at home (bought a thing of a men’s semi-perm hair/beard dye from Sally Beauty and an eyebrow brush w/ spoolie for applying the dye) which has helped me to feel more put together, I do have a friend who waxes my brows for me. I already had Vaseline on hand that I use for a barrier for the skin around the brows, so I only spent $15 and have gotten 3 uses so far from everything and still have quite a bit of the due left since I mix it up in small batches
I use this brand to dye my hair, be sure to mix a few different oils because henna tends to make your hair dry. I add organic cold pressed oils such as jojoba, olive, and shea butter. It’s also important to use a natural shampoo/conditioner, I use the smooth infusion line by Aveda https://a.co/d/52svoW6
A high quality blowdryer/straightener. Try the travel sizes of highly rated Sephora products and see which you’d like to purchase in full size.
Also, fwiw, I have decent skin and don’t think facials are worth the money. You can also buy some of the exact tools they use on Amazon
Lastly, agreed with above at home eyebrow tinting. Adding a salon lash lift+tint
I would agree! I use PCA skincare which was a rec from my facialist, but I’ll use makeup from Sephora
Quality skin care, drink lots of water and eating clean will go a long way to a great complexion. Limit alcohol and don't smoke as well. All of these combined with what you're currently doing will help you to look and feel your best
Ladies, anyone fills in their lashes professionally? Any recommendations in Tampa FL? And please comment whether you are happy with them, upkeep and cost. Thanks
My mom got nanoblading done a few months ago and it looks really good. The upfront cost/time was expensive but the costs of eyebrow maintenance evens out in the long run.
