Looking to change my career a little- I've been in Investment Management Ops for years now but I am craving a change, thinking of staying in finance but wanting a role that is more data analysis oriented where you work on solving issues vs working on daily repetitive tasks. Does anyone have thoughts/advice? How hard it is with no SQL experience, I see it is required most of the time?

Is it ok to not like work? I really just want a job that pays a reasonable salary where I can do a decent job (I do a good job and work hard), so I can pay rent and live my life. I don’t have ambitions to climb up a corporate ladder and I’m not passionate about PMing. Somehow, employers want people to sing and dance and be hungry to climb, even though most don’t really want to promote anyway. Just feeling a bit alone in this.

Is the CPA designation worth it? For me it would take me 1 year of PREP courses and 2 years of PEP until i can write the CFE. And I am 27 years old right now. Also wondering if it would be crazy to pursue the CPA while learning how to code to be a developer as well?

Looking for recruiting firms to help me find my next project / program management role.

Struggling to determine which firms can help with PM roles AND I'm struggling to get the ones I do find to respond to me. It may have something to do where I'm at in my career - 15+ years of PM experience & director-level roles at my last 2 companies - so more exec level but not quite C-Suite. Have tons of one-off recruiters hitting me up on LinkedIn about contract PM roles but that's not what I want.

Diagnosed with ADHD at 40. Tried Vyvanse for a couple of months. It works in terms of depriving grogginess, afternoon post meal crash, and suppressing appetite (at times).

However, I still needed help planning/prioritizing my day,  listening and active note taking, and keeping myself accountable. So decided to replace meds with coffee. Also, the fact that most people on meds had to progressively increase their medication over time did not sit well with me. (cont'd)

Does anyone have experience with the Charlotte legal market?

I am in the final steps of the interview process for an in-house position. I mentioned to the recruiter that I had unvested equity I would be leaving on the table. She said the company would take this into account and make me whole. She later asked for proof of the equity in the form of my account statement and balance, which I provided. I have not yet received an offer. Is it typical for companies to ask for this documentation if they don't intend to make the candidate an offer?
