Hi Fishes!

In my current company my notice period was of 3months, which i have been serving since Aug ending in November basis offer by company C1, but I didnt like the offer nevertheless accepted it. Now got better offers, so is it advisable to ask them to renegotiate it? Since i like the role and tech stack. How do I go about it?

I need a good job.

Do Tcs started rehiring?

Thought today was rough, but relieved to know that none of it matters anymore since we will be dead from nuclear war. You think there's advertising in heaven?

Currently have my HSA at Fidelity with about $4k. What stocks or index funds should I invest in? I am 28 and in no need to use it.

Hi everyone

I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?

I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!

How do I gift my parents a trip to Hawaii without knowing the dates? Is there a thing where I can buy a resort stay for an open range and just have them pick after I gift it to them? Flights on points

Found a piece of glass in my salad. Call the front desk and said: “Ah, Don’t worry about it, happens all the time.” The fuck is wrong with me.

Anyone else struggling with a parent who doesn’t understand why you won’t fly home for the holidays? I miss my family, but my personal comfort level is not in line with flying. I’ve also gone to great lengths to not parent my parents on going out etc in the hopes they’d respect my choices.

I have worked in TCS for 3y8m and now I am doing MBA from tier 1 bschool. Due to pandemic I have taken sabbatical leave from TCS and will rejoin it post MBA. Pre MBA my CTC was 4.4LPA and designation as System Engineer.
Please let me know post MBA what would be designation and revised CTC

would you rather have in unit laundry or on-site parking in Lincoln Park? trying to see what would be a better trade off. i don’t love the idea of having my car on the street. $1700 for 550 sq feet 1 bed with laundry or $1445 for 700 sq feet 1 bed with parking ($200) and coin laundry

As a marketing agency, how did you lock in a deal with your first client?

Would you be okay being the first non-white hire at a small agency? Like they are making their first effort to bring diversity in (making it clear that you are not just a diversity hire), but you are going to be alone in a sea of white faces. I personally don’t know how to feel about it but I’d love to hear other opinions.

Additional Posts in EAs / Executive Assistants

Hi everyone! I am currently transitioning into a new EA role for a startup. My current position is very simple and not complicated. I am intimidated because I am not super savvy with some softwares. GSuites - gmail (tips on types what folders to create to separate everything/tips), expensify (what is it for? How do I expense something through it?) and any templates for taking minutes. Can someone please screen shot the way they organize their CEOs calendar/gmail. I need a system. Thanks!

When your boss replies to everyone else’s email but yours 🙄🙄🙄 like sir, out of everyone’s emails you NEED to reply to mine if you want this meeting to land.

Hello is 70k for a Executive Staff Assistant in San Francisco a good starting salary?

Lately I have read a lot about automation and/or outsourcing of administrative work.

Do you see this happening at your firm soon? How close?

My position was eliminated on July 22. I was the sole administrator for the firm and handled many HR duties. Accepted an offer today and start Monday. There IS hope!

Where can I find a good resume writer/career coach? Any tips on how to efficiently work with one?

Remote EA role (just one day in office per month in NYC) supporting CEO. Regular 9-5 type of role, no weekends.
$135k/yearly, no bonus.
EduTech company

PM me with a blurb about yourself, why you’re looking, and what you’re looking for in your next role.

Can anyone recommend a resume writer that is not charging hundreds of dollars per hour? Many of the writers I've been finding and interviewing are for more senior level/executive management decision makers. I can't afford to pay $600 to $800 or more for 3 to 4 hours of work to help me craft my resume appropriately. I know it's worth it but those costs are out of my budget.

Salary range around the US. I know that the range varies wildly.

Currently in NYC making mid 80s.

Saw this on LinkedIn and had to share. Would you take a job with compensation like this? Why, why not? I’m curious.

To me, I think it’s unrealistic to expect someone to work for no cash comp for four months. It’s laughable.

Any insight on BCG interview process?

What are some subtle red flags to pass on working for a company/team?

One example was a panel of interviewers at a top tech company within FAANG (is it MAANG now?) constantly rubbing their temples in a stressful manner when talking about their day to day… Another was an interviewer telling me that the leader disregards other’s calendars, senior or not, because they should trust that whatever meeting she has is important… so thoughts?

Does anyone know how to get your foot in the door at a larger company as an EA? I have worked over 15 yrs at a CPA firm with 2 partners and I'm trying to change industry but one recruiter told me that they wanted someone with C Suite experience. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I am just started in to a new position. I got through the onboarding and now I am in training. Now, I will work 2 or 3 jobs to save up for retirement age when we are able to get out and experience our home planet.

Is anyone hiring in legal?

Hi!! Are there any admins where who work on a trading floor? Im interviewing for an administrative role on a trading floor in Manhattan. Looking for tips on what to wear - is it pretty similar to a “hedge fund dress code?”

I have applied for multiple upon multiple WFH positions for well over a year now and haven’t gotten anywhere. Some I never hear back. I have had about a handful of interviews and when I reach out, no response. I have the experience and knowledge as well. Or I have come across a lot of scams. At this point in my life I need a WFH. It’s all so discouraging!

Why does it take some EA’s days/weeks to reply to a simple email, with follow up emails? I understand being busy, but how can you neglect a core part of your role?

Looking for feedback: I started a new role as an EA with my same company in Nov 2021 as result of a reorg and the new leader opting to bring their current admin with them. I could have stayed in this org and let them place me with another leader but that would have been a demotion since my leader was the head of that BU before the reorg, so I put my resume out in the company and was selected for the role I’m in now. Now one of the leaders from my old org has (overflow in comments)
