This is super common. How aggressive is your plan when your going from fat to skinny? With most cases I've seen, this is too aggressive, and too hard to keep up once the motivation begins to dwindle (which occurs in the majority of people so don't get down over this).
Focus on a not so aggressive plan that you think you have the best chance at staying on top of i.e. Run for 5 miles in 5 days rather than 20 miles. Don't remove sugar completely from your diet (although you'll see results), but that's a time bomb where you'll fail, rather remove soda and limit processed snacks.

Why do you think you relapse into bad habits that cause the weight to come back? If you succeed in losing the weight and you like how you look, my guess is you have a hard time maintaining the weight loss.
Oof. I have the same lifestyle. I think part of it is when you lose the weight, you think you can cheat/ slack a little. But then one day you wake up and you’re fat again.... the struggle is v real.
