I have an associate full-time offer from a Big4 & an Analyst offer from a decent consulting firm. The pay is in the 60 range for big4 and 70s for consulting firm.
What would you do? I'm not sure what the consulting job will be like but I wouldn't need a masters degree which is great. I am also an analytics minor which is useful.

Consulting will have more travel and pay, but B4 will have steady busy season hours and less pay. All depends what you enjoy. I suggest asking teams about what they do and peak hours to get a feel for your career progression and opportunities.

Don't know much about how difficult it is to land that consulting gig. But I have a feeling if you don't like consulting the experience there will help you get into Big4 then the other way around

Only you know what will be best for your career. Go with your gut but also consider work life balance, flexibility, advancement opportunity, how you get along with people at each place, etc. Early on you want to soak up as much knowledge as you can. You never stop learning but having a good foundation is crucial. Best of luck and congrats!

Is it worth it to leave accenture and join tcs as SE with 5.5lpa as datastage developer, I have experience of 1.5 yeo with ETL tools datastage and talend skill. Reason of leaving : toxic environment and hectic work, less scope of learning. I tried negotiating on salary as if I get promoted in accenture I would get the same salary tcs said with 1.5 yeo they give only 30% hike.

What would you do?

I was recently promoted to be a senior and I’m on this project with an acting senior and associates. The acting senior would tell everyone, including me, what to do everyday before I get the chance to. I feel like he is stepping into my boundaries. I feel uncomfortable being told by him what I have to do when I know it myself. I feel like he’s my senior instead lol.

Am I being oversensitive about this as a new senior? Or how would you address this?
