Is the healthcare practice hiring any senior consultants, if so anyone willing to refer?
A close friend (who is physically distant) is giving birth to her second child next month. She didn’t register for anything because she didn’t need anything and lives in a small-ish space so doesn’t want the extra stuff. Any ideas of gifts / nice things I can send her either before or after giving birth? What would you have appreciated?

Do any of your kids make these moaning noises in class? Mine do, and I find it grossly inappropriate and disrespectful, but I’ve figured out how to stop it. I asked the kids if they care to have me meet with their parents, themselves, and the principal all together so they can describe what these moans sound like and why they are making them. A colleague of mine had this problem in her class and my suggestion worked for her too. The room gets quiet fast!
My boyfriend lost his mother few months ago. It was very unexpected. How can I support him going forward ? He talks way less as he’s slowly realizing she’s gone and he’s very sad. I don’t know what to do beside being there for him and giving him space when needed. He said I’m very supportive but I’m a bit scared this will affect our relationship as a couple on the long term. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Anyone looking for an audit staff or senior position at a firm in the Chicagoland area? Generally, we don't work more than 50 hours, and that's only for about 12-16 weeks out of the year. Had anyone at PwC had babies 14 months apart? Any limits on parental leave with the births so close together?
Found out today that my gross pay of $240,000 yields the same take home pay as a couple that each make $100,000. Meaning I pay an extra $40,000 in taxes for the same takehome (my partner's in school and is not working). Is this fair?
From my POV, I've recently made the decision to move to the US next year for income+tax benefits.
Starting a new remote job where I'm offered $1k reimbursement for purchases towards my home office. I know this is a fairly common perk so I was wondering what everyone here has used that money towards. $1k could afford a couple great monitors or a pretty nice desk. What have you guys upgraded/bought?
Just want some dating advice. I been seeing this guy and we both in for the long haul. He has this best friend, and basically I hate her. I’m a guy btw. She is like this dramatic annoying type who bosses around. I’m a very quiet guy and I don’t like drama. My SO really wants me to be friend with her but I genuinely hate her. The moment she steps in the room I’m like “argh you again”. We had an argument because I don’t wanna hang with her. I don’t know what to do. Advices would be super appreciat

Conferences: I need to attend one next year for work. Bitcoin Conference and The North American Bitcoin Conference are both in Miami and two different things. TNABC seems more legit [as an OG makeup influencer follower why is Michelle Phan on the other one's speaker list? Is she even doing videos anymore? Whatever]. Anyway have any of y'all been to either? Any others I should look into? Fanboy conventions not what I'm looking for. I'm in legal, so there to learn and self promote.
Hoping to move to nyc area for work next year and would like to live in either Brooklyn or Hoboken as I just can’t swing Manhattan rent prices 😅 Thoughts on pros/cons to either? (I’m 25F and originally from the south if that matters) I would be working in midtown so it would be a commute either way

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.
Hi All - I received a verbal offer from a big 4 organization about 11 days ago. I keep being told that they are waiting on final approval before they can give me the written offer. I am stating to get anxious, as I want to give my notice to my current employer and have another offer that expires at the end of this week, which I did share with the recruiter. Is this a normal timeline for these firms? Starting to get nervous that we may not get final approval. Thank you!
Hello! I recently got into National Society for Leadership and Success. I am wondering if this is attractive to recruiters or something they look over.
Does anyone have advice on what legal implications could be faced when an employee has sex at the workplace with a client?
I9 verification support needed:
Can an employee use a Virginia Criminal Justice Agency Offender Information Form for the i9? USIC website says “The ID document listed first in List B does not have to be a driver's license - it can be any government-issued ID card, even a parolee's ID card if the date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and address are on it.” But it’s a certified FORM not ID card. Thoughts?

I work in education based HR, and I don't particularly want to go to high on the totem pole, but to be more competitive (I didn't start in HR), what certs (if any) do people suggest in public school HR? We get professional development days off, and I'd like to figure out what's best for this industry?
Any suggestions from other Education based HR folks?
I work in an old school company that does not allow anyone to work remote except for management if necessary. Ever since the pandemic started, it’s been a regular day reporting to work and sitting in the office all day. Due to Covid, we decided it’s best to not meet in person but stay in our desk and talk via Teams/zoom. I am now struggling on finding a remote job because I don’t have any remote work experience. Any tips on how to get a remote job in HR?
Like most companies who are finally seeing the value in prioritizing diversity in their workforce, I’m curious if anyone has suggestions for any new creative talent databases that have surfaced lately that highlight under represented professionals. Would love to hear about them all! Thank you!
Any suggestions for continuing to sharpen my skills as a recruiter when there's no TA manager and no "mentorship" in the company? I'm a 1-man recruiting team and the rest of the HR team is not as knowledgeable in the scope of recruiting.
I’m considering making a career switch to HR (in Canada). Do I need to get any professional certifications or go back to school?
