Have a valid H1B visa stamp with expiration for Sep 22. Moved companies recently and have an updated 797 (with expiration of June 23). Can I travel to india and come back to the US with my current visa stamp (from my previous employer) and 797? Or do I need to get a restamp done? Really appreciate any help/suggestions

Has anyone successfully interfiled from eb3 back to eb2 after a job change to get their i-485 approved and green card processed... this is related to movement of dates in Oct 2020 when many of us from India downgraded from eb2 to eb3 because of eb3 india dates moving faster than eb2 and now eb2 final action dates are becoming current?

It's been over a month I have attended 1st round of interview but there is no update from sap labs on portal.. I had good interview. Infact it went for 90 mins instead it was planned for an hour... Should I still keep some hope or just forget it.

Pwc fish - anyone with I140 filed in October 2020 has received any status updates? Mine still says “Case was received”. I thought the process should be quicker nowadays.

Can we travel when concurrent filing of i140 and i485 is being done ? Or are there particular time periods wherein travel is now allowed and could impact the gc application? Also, is there anything around AOS that needs to be accounted for ?

Spouse was stuck outside US since H4 stamping stopped by EO. They came here on B2 and have been here some months now. Would you recommend apply for H4 and change status while they are here? Downside is it takes 10+ months and spouse can't leave the country in that time.
Alternative is wait till Jan and see if EO expires and H4 can be stamped back home in a matter if a week.

US immigration question. Green card interview date was cancelled in March 2020. It’s been a whole year of just waiting for a reschedule date, so the I-485 is transferable (e.g. to another state, another employer). Has anyone transferred their i-485 to another employer? What was that process like? Would my process start from the interview phase? How did you prove that the next job was in the same category?
