I’ve seen hundreds of mediocre framework-y briefs at work and otherwise, I’ve seen many “examples” of how briefs should look, and I’ve read plenty about what a great brief should have, but without being at a top agency or around top planners, I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen a great brief with real work.

EY MD 🐠 , I’m a newly promoted MD and have a few questions on comp timelines I’m hoping you can help answer since there have been 0 comms to MDs on this 😔:
1. I’ve heard we don’t find out new salaries until mid-Aug with others below PP. Given others new comp doesn’t start until Oct, do you know if that’s when our new comp starts too even though our new titles are already effective?
2. Does the MD rating/comp timeline continue to follow the timeline for others going forward after the first yr?

Have you ever been hired at a company and immediately realized it wasn’t what they portrayed it to be, and immediately moved onto another job? Is this common? Wondering how many people skip companies after very little time bc true colors come out?

I was on PTO last week and had some follow up interviews for a role I was interested in.

I have an interview with the hiring manager towards the end of the work day today and I’m SO NERVOUS! And I don’t think I’ll be able to focus on my current job’s work until then. I've applied and networked for my dream job and didn't get an interview this time. Also dissatisfied with compensation and some of the responsibilities at my current job but have a lot of opportunity to learn. After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".
