I have an odd situation. I worked my tail off last month but had to be out unexpectedly due to a car accident and minor illness. My billing is not really great for last month and I’ve noticed that scrambling sometimes result in not accounting for all my time and having a seemingly slow month. Does this happen to anyone else?

Are there any large differences between a Strategy lead and Program manager positions? Looking to transition and in the process for a couple of roles. Is an extra $100k to lateral to biglaw as a junior associate ($150k as opposed to $250k) worth losing great WLB, great bosses, and a decent commute?

Anybody struggling with fellow associates in big law? Currently working with associates that will stab you in the back at all costs and don’t care about building friendships, etc. This environment is mentally draining and I feel like I am an outlier for being kind. Truly shows that nice people finish last.

My boss asked me how much time I need off for the bar exam (second juristiction). I told him I'd like to start really hammering down beginning of July. He was fine with that, but as far as being "gone" no one has said anything about me taking time off. The firm has unlimited vacation. Are they still going to pay me? Lol. I'm a summer associate at a midsize firm and I recently found out from a partner that some of the other partners who have assigned me work mentioned how my work product didn't look proofread. I know that proofreading is really important and this gave me the gut check I need to remember to proofread before submitting any assignments. However, I only have 2-3 weeks left. Should I own up to my mistakes to the partners I've submitted work for? How screwed am I for a return offer?
