Well now I’m kind of glad I turned down the PwC FDD interview invitation after reading this thread
I recently interviewed and had a good experience with PwC. More structured than EY.
I had a similar offer but ended up declining. Heard the culture at PwC FDD is bad which which causes their high turnover numbers.
If you don’t have any other offers I would 100% take it. It’s a good opportunity to get out of tax with much better exit ops.
I’ve had a good experience so far but heard others have not in other geos - experiences vary across offices
I'd avoid PwC right now, unless you were desperate.
Unless manager 1 is somebody i know, this happened to somebody else I personally know. NYC office. They keep things hush hush for high performers.
Same experience. Got interviews this past week and did not like the vibe at all.
Makes me nervous for my transfer lol
I know of folks who have gone into corpdev and even IB associate from big four FDD. While IB is not comment, it does give some good exit options as others have mentioned.

Just take it. Let’s be real FDD work blows audit/tax out of the water. And you’ll get significantly better exit opps.
Culture depends on the individual office... can’t get an exact answer here.
Isn’t it office dependent?

Very. "Avoid PwC" like there aren't 20 different locations and thousands of employees
My only other offer is a small/mid tier management consulting firm in finance transformation so deciding between the two
Work life in FDD sounds tough
I would love to hear more about your experience
You will be working nonstop 12-16 hour days until the market settles down. you will be paid more than folks with years more FDD experience because you are an outside hire. They will know it, which will justifiably annoy them and it will be difficult to build relationships or get the coaching you need. This will make you will feel like a pariah, which will only compound as you get a rep for underperforming. It's a vicious cycle that lead's to the firing / quitting of exp hires fairly shortly, especially for those without any relevant experience.

Yes but cohort =\ market
