Salary in interview. I was asked about my salary in an interview at MBB. Say I was currently receiving 70k fixed + 22k bonus. I told them "my salary is 100K including bonus". Can this little round off hurt later? The interviewer was basically asking me how much I am expecting and I told him industry standards. Kept pursuing it. In end he said just give me sense of your current salary and so I rounded off.

How are sign-on bonuses taxed in NYC? Example: if you were to receive let’s say a $20k sign-on bonus (I assume it would be paid as a lump sum?), what total percent would be taxed?
Just interviewed for this job that sounds superficially good but I think will take me back to the work I did 10 years ago but will pay my target salary and will have a fancy title (VP). I don't really want to do this but I need a job, have run out of UI and don't want to deplete my savings to nothing waiting for the perfect job. If offered, should I take it and continue looking or will it look bad? Changed jobs within 1 year once already. At least this job would be spinnable for what I want.
PSA: PwC has unfrozen comp and will be giving base comp adjustments effective on 01/01/2021. Advisory on cohort system will be trued up to their current cohort based on FY20 salary and all other groups will receive incremental salary adjustments from 1-5%. Now that’s a Christmas gift!

Everyone should openly share their salaries/wages with anyone who wants to know. It only helps other workers and is only bad for companies. Biggest company propaganda was getting the general public to think that’s it’s inappropriate to have salary transparency.

Welcome to the mental health Awareness bowl for those in Big Law. Mental health Awareness is severely over-looked in the industry, despite cursory attempts by firms to broach the topic with attorneys.

Deciding between Insead and oxford mba . Constantly hearing that INSEAD is a tier 1 school where Oxford is second tier . After speaking with alumni , seems like Insead alum are the most passionate too . Living in Singapore and France is a huge plus . Oxford has prestige and is more than just a business school. Their social / ethical take on mba seems to resonate with me a lot more . The alumni seem to choose career paths similar to fields of what I want to do .
