** long post**. I was hired as an associate for client engagement on the tech side of an IB. I’m only engaging with internal clients but our team do modelling, reporting, for internal clients. I also create pitch decks and present, again only internally. When hired I was under the impression I was entering a FO type role but I don’t believe this to be the case now. Does anyone know if this is BO, MO or non revenue generating FO? If that exists.

I have the opportunity to act as outside counsel for a new construction company (commercial project management). I’ve been practicing for 4 years and have experience in small business law, none in construction. I am hesitant to take this on, and cannot tell if it is just new lawyer jitters or common sense.
