These firms will fire you for whatever reason they want. No need to be "ethical" here. Look at all the posts of people fired with no warning. Go for the latter.

I've heard that it's a bad idea but I don't understand how it would come back to bite you in the ass as long as you don't put it on your resume/background checks, etc.
