Seeking advice/insight. In order to take time off at work, I will just need to work when I get back from being off (only taking off a few days). A very small portion of the work will be taken care of while I’m on PTO. My thought is that — if I have to work extra hours just to take time off, I shouldn’t have to use vacation for those days off. It feels very rigged. Is it customary for this to be the case for someone who is non exempt/ salary? If not, would you say something to Management?

I’ve come across a few ‘associate’ or ‘manager’ level listings within a high street banks corporate and investment banking strategy teams. The position won’t be working on deals / origination etc but more on strategy design, strategic initiatives and management committee partnering (competitor analysis, board reports etc). Can anyone advise what’s a good base salary for someone with 5-6 years of experience in FS?
I am planning to move to slalom in the Bay Area office as a product owner and wanted to know what if the average salary range expectation there. I have also heard that work life balance is good but low pay hence confused? Could someone help give perspective

I’m a 4th year Big Law associate desperately trying to leave. I have somewhat varied experience but more focused in finance and am finding it very difficult to find a job that doesn’t involve a 50% (or bigger) cut from BL base salary. Looking to break into Tech (corporate counsel role) or go to a company with LatAm operations. Anyone here working in similar roles in-house that would be willing to take a look at my resume and give me feedback? Tips in general?
I've joined with 2.10 yrs experience and was given the role of Software Engineer. Heard that some people with same or a little more experience got Senior Software Engineer in tech consulting. When can I expect next promotion? Also, I'm drawing a salary of 8 lpa. What is the competitive salary for this experience and designation for others here? Can you please share?
Just got the comp adjustment email… 2-25%. Even if we got 25% we’d still be egregiously underpaid haha. A friend at S& who is my level (3.5 YOE) is getting 160k and I’m getting 92k. Know your worth y’all!

Do you think consulting firms will ever get away from forced ranked bonus structures to support WLB and make it so working parents aren’t at financial risk by competing against unwed, childless colleagues that are willing to work 80 hour weeks? Hasn’t covid taught us that workers don’t want to work like that, so won’t firms lose people/working parents?
What salary should expect at Barclays for 7.5 Years Automation QA experience with current package 10L?
Have been ignoring Amazon recruiter’s long emails when they ask for availability and salary expectations and have only replied to answer availability part. Last week I did the loop interview round and recruiter wants to set a call to chat this week. My guess is that the conversation will be focused on comp expectations or not moving forward. Advice on how to handle comp talk this late in the game?
Had two interviews with a company and maybe cause of how low my salaries have been (currently 80k), finding a salary description posted at 100k-120k seems too good to be true. Additionally, might be offered the position closer to 120k. The salary jump has got me kind of worried. Anyone else think this is kind of sus? Or have I just been taken advantaged of at previous jobs with the same client structure?

It’s a topic that has been discussed often enough but I need some positive vibes. Since a year I’m applying for jobs (mostly through referrals, sometimes cold). I have been in advanced interview stages but now back at 0 because eventually nothing worked out. I’m obviously down and questioning if I need to get used to a mediocre career satisfaction and if I’m expecting too much. Background: 3 yoe, data science
