I have an opportunity to leave for a back office role at a VC firm but I hesitate for a couple reasons: I need to go into the office 3x week and the team is small. I’ve loved remote work the last 2 years and hate to give it up, but am I being unreasonable with this logic? I realize not all companies are going to stay remote forever but I really hate commuting. I’m also used to working at a big firm and can kind of hide at times so the small team concerns me, but this seems too good to pass up

Any ideas on fun team bonding events/games to improve culture in a new remote tech startup? Very small team with long work hours, we are trying to build a people culture but hard because we can’t see much of peoples personalities through Zoom meetings much.

He has not been able to replace me since I left in November. He is insisting on his EA being in the office 5 days per week. Will it hurt me in the long run to have comms experience in different industries? Life after audit at Big 4? I am starting to considering leaving after the next busy season, knowing that I genuinely do not enjoy audit. But I am struggling with ideas on what could logically come next… wanting to hear from other professionals on their opportunities after exiting Big 4. If I leave on my estimated timeline I will have completed 1 busy season as a S1, with 2.5ish years total experience at B4.

Currently a staff 2 in audit at a big 4 firm (will be promoted to senior later this year), and I’m curious about switching into FDD.
