I have all or these. I felt like they were very basic skills that many people have and weren’t rare to come by, but maybe I do have good skills

Shoot me a DM - our firm is actively hiring and your background would align well with our SL offerings

Applied to 200 and ended up in 1 interview. Any other channels other than LinkedIn? Every job posting has 500 applicants on the same day 💀

Sure I’ll definitely do this. Thank you so much 👍

What have you done at D that you enjoy and want to do more of?

Operation improvement, efficiency analysis. I like the combination of technical work and strategy

Do these all require cover letters? When casually applying, I give up when an app makes you re-populate your resume or asks for a cover letter so 150 apps would take ages.

If its a company and role i really like, i write the cover letter. Also, i have noticed companies now do a pretty good job at populating info from linkedin\resume onto the website application, so that has saved me a lot of time.

Need some advice FB fam. My wife is getting contacted by PE headhunters for VP deal team roles. She currently leads a small corpdev team at a PE backed company; did strategy consulting for a decade and worked at a few PE shops in a value creation / portfolio management role. She’s never worked in banking or at a PE firm in an investing role. She’s concerned if it’s even worth pursuing the process? What does the recruiting process for a VP level look like? Will she be asked to model etc.? TIA!

The burnout is real. I’ve been a nurse for almost 10 years. Two of the which were in sales. I am likely going back to medical sales. If you’re wondering how you can do that, your first step to leverage your clinical knowledge would be to look for “clinical sales specialist” or similar jobs. Device companies are always looking for nurses but keep in mind you will be traveling a fair amount to get experience and then move to a true sales position (if that’s what you want).

Hey there! I work in a mid-size full service agency with a growing marketing team. We currently don't have a CD due to our size and current client portfolio, but that's a role I'd love to step into when the time is right and my management is on board with that. Any advice on how to prepare for that kind of role without changing agencies? Or anyone open to mentoring me? I'd love to learn from a CD or ACD to see what they're doing and what I can bring without leaving my team!

In addition my firm’s new base payband for my position as an external higher is posted at 31% higher than my current salary.

I had an interview last week for a Jr CW job. All went well it seemed. The CCO’s exact closing words were “You’re gonna have a great career. Your ideas are good”. Additionally, a CD there I contacted on LinkedIn said the CCO liked my book. But he ended by telling me they’re still getting things sorted out and to follow up this week. Don’t know if this is a bad sign I won’t get it or if I’m just being insanely impatient and unrealistic.

Current project is very chill and management likes me/gives good reviews but I’m not challenged and do not lead others. I’ve considered switching projects to go up early (SC year2). I am six weeks pregnant, first pregnancy at 33. The other reason I wonder about going up early is that I’m not sure I want to be going up during year3 after being out on maternity leave and life drastically changing. I started my professional career late so feel like I’m playing catch-up too, any advice? Thanks!
