Don’t quit. I’m not saying you should stay.. Just don’t quit.
There is a period between when you know you’re leaving and when you actually leave. I call it Nirvana. Do what you want and cash those checks.
I quit with no job lined up. Took 3.5 months off. When I started looking for a new job I got another pa job in 2 days. Once I have enough saved up I’ll quit this job.
I would love to transition to something else. I’m unsure what I would like to do next but I don’t enjoy Tax or PA in general. I’m going to finish out my CPA this year and try the Google Analytics course. Worst case scenario there is always a job in public accounting to tide you over.

What if you can't find anything, even temporarily, after 4 months? Then you may make hasty decisions. Having only 6 months backstop is a little dicey...

I actually have plenty more, but was looking more for suggestions about what other contract work or other options people have done when they quit. If I don’t indicate I have some money saved up, most people just focus on that instead of the actual question lol
