I have at least 6 months of living expenses saved up. I’m ready to quit if I am unable to get a reduced schedule. Any suggestions of where to work temporarily? I’ve heard of beech valley, but are there other options that people have had good experiences with?

Don’t quit. I’m not saying you should stay.. Just don’t quit.

There is a period between when you know you’re leaving and when you actually leave. I call it Nirvana. Do what you want and cash those checks.

I quit with no job lined up. Took 3.5 months off. When I started looking for a new job I got another pa job in 2 days. Once I have enough saved up I’ll quit this job.

I would love to transition to something else. I’m unsure what I would like to do next but I don’t enjoy Tax or PA in general. I’m going to finish out my CPA this year and try the Google Analytics course. Worst case scenario there is always a job in public accounting to tide you over.

What if you can't find anything, even temporarily, after 4 months? Then you may make hasty decisions. Having only 6 months backstop is a little dicey...

I actually have plenty more, but was looking more for suggestions about what other contract work or other options people have done when they quit. If I don’t indicate I have some money saved up, most people just focus on that instead of the actual question lol

Hi all, I got laid off from my current company (product based) a month ago. Since then I've been looking for new opportunities. I got an offer from a good product based company with a good package and also my current company offering me rehire with promotion and a good package. I have a good rapport with my current manager, and he played a major role in offering this rehire opportunity. I'm confused about making the right decision here. Kindly share your views. Both offers are pretty much same.

I recently switched company, but now i am realising that the role which i have been assigned is not the one which was offered to me.

I then decided to go back to my previous organization. They are ready to take me back. Salary difference is not much(about 15% less than my current ,but approx 65% from my last drawn salary in my previous org). But i used to love my work and role in my previous organization.i switched because of money.

Is the decision right to go back ?

I moved from being customer service at a call center to doing it remotely from home, and it's such a game changer. I just sit around in my pajamas, relaxed. Has anyone else switched to 100% remote work?

Moving from big 4 firm to big 4 firm. Waiting for my salary and sign on bonus. Do you think it makes sense to ask for the sign on be applied to my salary? Like if offered 75k with 5k sign on then should I just ask for 80k no sign on. I don’t want to loose my bonus if I have stay a year or two. I also know there is a lot of tax coming out of bonuses. Either way it pretty much nets the same tax wise.
