A previous Director of mine approached me about a Clinic Position in STL. Bankers hours…She asked what I would need to leave where I am at…I do not have the slightest clue how much a Clinic Nurse makes. Any ideas?

Got below offer from epiFi for SDET position
Base - 23LPA
15% variable - 3.5LPA
ESOP - Approx 58,000 PA
I know it's too much a lowball for Sr SDET position when entry level roles are getting this much.
Have told them to update the offer per senior band, yet to hear back. I'd mentioned 35LPA as expected base over phone. But got response that they can't increase numbers.

Did the company you work at do anything above and beyond it’s normal compensation practices to account for inflation this past year? My organization generally gives everyone a 2-4% raise each year by default (sometimes they add merit-based increases on top of that-but most get the 2-4%) - but they did not do anything to account for inflation in 2021 which was 6%+. I am part of leadership - and we are discussing how to deal with this - curious about other experiences/suggestions.

My friend is in his first job out of college at a tech company. He started 3 months ago and is in a very toxic environment (rude coworkers, mean comments, etc) as well as has to commute/be in the office everyday. His title is “Inside sales” and his pay is very low/he does tons of work and is expected to stay late (no overtime) & he already is working 8:30-5:30.

I asked for a raise since I’ve been at my company for 1 year and because cost of living is up 6%. My boss recommended I hold off asking for a raise now and in 6 months he’ll see if I can get a promotion with a bigger raise bump.

He said even if I ask for a COL adjustment now it may make it harder to get the CEO to agree to a promotion in 6 months.
