The firm I'm at, which is a mid-sized lifestyle firm with 1800 billables in NY (and any additional are compensated via end of year Bonus), is currently hiring 2-4th year associates for their corporate group (M&A, debt finance, emerging companies). I joined after 3 years in BigLaw and my work-life balance has improved significantly. DM me if interested- I am happy to chat.
That's 2nd year pay in NYC Biglaw
Area of law? Your normal annual billable hours? Your billing rate? Otherwise it makes no sense to try to compare. You get paid based on what clients are willing to pay you. For some upscale big law that means a ridiculous amount even for first years, for others it is a lot less because they work with clients with much smaller pockets.
What’s ur billables?
Laughing so hard right now. 😂🤣 Saving this for when I’m having a rough few minutes.
