I have been approved for H1-b this past cycle. I am looking to travel to somewhere hot in the near future. What are my options with traveling without needing to present visa / passport?

I obviously know Puerto Rico and Hawaii are options but how about the US Virgin Islands?

Currently asking around for others that work in the hospitality industry specifically banquets or banquet serving what is the tip pool break down at your hotel servers,captain, houseman, house percentage do you think your paid fairly from the tip pool?

Reasons I think I don’t meet the expectations- in a way my work quality is average. Given am on H1b and a family man, this constant thought of lay off is driving me so crazy that I fear might take me to depression. What should I do?

I manage const for eng companies. Got short video interview, then a job offer @ low end my req. range. Experience: it’s normal to travel for a 2nd interview in person. Result: I see quitting to do this as risky. I asked for more $ than my prior range & explained I prefer we meet in person to see if it’s a fit 1st. Hiring manager wants me and may push for the $ but not the in person meet. Wonder if it could cause me to start there with less trust if they think I abused my position for more $.

Any insights on how to dive in into Tech Recruiting? I am trying to apply for that line of business but all the postings Ive seen so far requires minimum 2 years of experience. B/w the need for refundable flight and hotels (I normally do airbnb and don’t care about refundable flights, and I don’t have enough miles and can only get us partial coverage at 1 hotel out of 2) plus covid tests, the trip is about $1000-2000 more/pp than I anticipated. I also got a new job offer this week. My question: Can my potential new employer file for h1b petition that was picked in lottery which was submitted by my current employer? If yes, is it a feasible option? What are my safe options in this case if I want to take the new job?
