I have been at my current company for 6 years (7 months in new role) and was recently contacted by a recruiter at a new software firm. I entertained learning more about the firm because 1- During training I found out that the new hire salary was more than 25k more than mine and 2- General interest
Is 7months too soon to leave my current role?
I'm torn on leaving as I FINALLY have a good cadence with my clients and support teams.
I would be transitioning from Telecom to SaaS, both Sales.
Always be interviewing. Worst case scenario it doesn’t work out or you’re just not interested in the role. Best case scenario you get an amazing offer at a company that values you more than your current one. You have nothing to lose.
Thank you for your input. I do have to remember that the ball is in my court.
ALWAYS take the interview, if it doesn’t work it it’s still very good practice. People job hop because of money. Questions to ask yourself would be: 1. Will this role benefit me in the future? 2. What new skills can I learn? 3. Benefits, PTO etc.
Companies aren’t loyal to its employees. In my opinion you have to do what you have to do.
