U are not alone. It’s something that needs to be figured out w virtual. I just had a check in meeting and was told that I’m doing phenomenally but I’m sure that in a few days the anxiety will come back. I bet you’re doing a great job :)

As a manager, I’d suggest scheduling weekly / bi-weekly touchpoints with your direct boss so as to give them an update of what you’ve been doing and also get feedback from them if there’s anything else you should be aware! I would think most higher-ups like to see their staff being proactive in this way so I hope they would do the same! Otherwise, you’re probably doing fine and are just worrying yourself which I can totally understand ✌🏻

I was in your shoes not too long ago, something that helped me was that I sent an “update” email to my boss EOD on Friday just listing out where projects stand, what I’ve accomplished that week and my plan for the next week. My boss always appreciated it and that way we both have written records of my work, so nobody can ever say I wasn’t clear or doing my job. This mentally really helped me relax.

Coming from someone who’s new to managing and managing a direct report who’s a new hire in a different country, I’m SO grateful for the help. My brain is finally decluttering, so I can start delegating, which is a challenge for me! I also gate kept in the beginning, so she wasn’t thrown in the deep end and overwhelmed. If you have a great team, especially one that’s been understaffed for a while, I bet they’re SO happy to have the help. It also takes me a minute to figure out what I’m ready to delegate, too.

I’m currently making 83K at AFS. 2.5 YOE. I’m interviewing with Deloitte GPS for a consultant level position and the recruiter mentioned 80K-90K for base salary. I don’t hate my role at AFS, I just want to leave to get more experience and money. I don’t think it makes sense to leave for anything less than 97K. Should I follow through with the interview for this role? Is there a chance Deloitte GPS would offer 97K-100K for the consultant level? This is for a Human Capital Consultant role btw
