Does anyone think PMI work is a good long-term career? Seems like if you’re only working 50 a week for relatively high pay, there nothing to complain about. What am I missing - currently in the diligence space.
I’ve made a career of PMI. I get paid the same and work less than my pre-close counterparts, so I’m pretty good with that
**note - I’m in industry now
To me, the negative was that PMI usually was given that you’re on the road every single week, while on diligence I traveled 3-4 days/month. Since COVID started that is a non-issue, so I’ve been happy with my steady, weekend-free lifestyle on integration projects. It’s a bit more mundane, but been much better for wlb and firm has been happy with revenue I’m generating.
Generally strategy work is more intensive than PMO but I’d guess you’ll still be about 50.
Probably be ~45-50 a week but will be less intense and a more typical 9-6 gig
