I have been in a relationship for past 5 years. But i cant marry her due to some reasons and she also knows that. We decided to mutually break up but after 2 months we met again and now it has got complicated. We know each other so well and even after breaking up we talk 1-2hrs atleast daily. Does it reflect quite poorly if you ask to renegotiate base after accepting an offer? Say you accepted an offer from a firm but got another offer from another firm that’s 20% higher. Is it fair to ask the first company to consider matching the offer of the second company without getting burnt? How would you approach this conversation? Any previous experience with this?
