You can first talk to your manager and see if tjere are some other opportunities that you are interested. You can research on different ares of hr like comp and ben, recruitment, analytics. If you are not all interetsed in any areas of hr then its best that you check for ijp for your interested role. If even that is not possible look for other opportunities and only then resign. Dont resign with out any offer.
I agree with your suggestion
What is it about your role that you don’t enjoy? Would recommend some self assessment and mindfulness about what is a deal breaker for you to allow you to ensure your next role is more appropriate for your preferences. You’ll want to make sure your next opportunity is a better fit as too many short stints are tough yo explain and put you in a defensive posture in the market. (I know you prob know this but worth mentioning)
^ I agree with this! I switched over to a new role at a new company after just 4 months of being at a job that I hated. After some reflecting, I realized that I was a lot happier at my last role where it was more technical and less communications heavy so I interviewed for jobs that fit the bill. I’m not proud of moving onto another role after only being in it for 4 months, but my mental health comes first and I feel comfortable making the move after lots of self-reflection and asking interviewers candid questions about the role and company I’d be switching to.
It's fine to quit a job after 4 months, nothing to be ashamed of. No one's going to think less of you. Also it's 2021 and we have a labor shortage, let's catch our mindsets up and not be stuck on beauracratic thinking from the past that job hopping is bad. It not, it's the story you tell/reason you have...
Yes! This is how I feel, why continue to be unhappy, especially when its causing your mental health to be worse.
