Question for consultants in healthcare, what books have you found helpful in your career? I’m starting soon, but I come from a clinical background, and haven’t been exposed to that much beyond that. I have been doing a lot of reading (mainly JAMA/NEJM articles on policy, HBR articles, Christensen and Porters books on innovation etc). I’ve found them immensely helpful (I’m still early on, so I learn a lot with each new book). Outside of news sources, what books have you found helpful?

Hey! I work at a healthcare start up and I earn $95k an year as a Software Engineer II based out on Austin, TX. Recently I interviewed with Visa, Austin and got an offer for the Senior Software Engineer role with base - $125k and a sign on bonus - $10k which totals to $135k overall comp. When I tried negotiating the base salary they said that the comp team isn’t budging on it due to team metrics and my experience (2.5 years as SDE). Is this a good offer to take?
