I have been interviewing at Wayfair boston for an analyst position. So I started digging for some reviews on glassdoor. I am seeing lots of negative comments about wayfair management on glasdoor, probably bcoz of layoffs I understand the frustration of employees.

I think you just answered your own question. If we’re in the news for multiple layoffs why would it make sense for you to accept a job. Not to mention we’ve been told numerous times we’re not hiring. (Speaking from experience, we hired 3 associates a month before the RIF and they were the first ones to go)
Thanks
in my opinion, what you're seeing on glassdoor coincides with what you experience. since accountability to shareholders was prioritized in 2020, ephemeral mercenaries have taken over leadership and gutted / plan to gut leadership that was not turning profit. unfortunately the latter, had a plan to success that was working to achive a common goal, while the former has no plan except on how to cut costs. the new model cannot sustain worklife balance or community or semblance of culture. i would caution that any positive reviews on glassdoor within the last year are either people paying tribute to what they got while wayfair was still good, or a kowtow gesture with an agenda behind it.
