Anyone hiring for a paid acquisition marketer? 👀
Considering offer as a Manager in Protiviti technology consulting practice. Considering moving into consulting after over a decade in industry. Can anyone share their perspective on what what it’s like working in protiviti technology consulting as a manager now? (I.e pros and cons). Appreciate any insight!
I’m similar to you bro. Thankfully my company hasn’t made participating in these things mandatory, but I can see how -phobic I’d be seen if it was mandatory.
It’s basically the 21st century version of anti-communist hysteria.

What about the materials makes you think it will be more divisive than helpful?
One of the trainings I went to recently was really powerful to me (as a white woman) because it talked a lot about insider / outsider status in orgs and how that is defined or practiced unconsciously in so many different ways. In tech, it can be with age (younger people are insiders) or gender. There are things we can’t see that we all bring with us too that drive and impact how we interact (unseen disabilities for example). To me, it made me so much more conscious of when I was participating in insider behavior so I could be more inclusive of others.
Anyway, I am interested in hearing about your program and why the agenda feels divisive.

I have heard about these gender theory workshops and to be frank, they disgust me. Primary defining people by their skin color, gender, sexual preference, or religion is the essence of bigotry. I am not talking about proudly identifying as something but that because someone is white, black, etc.; there must be prejudices applied appropriately. I don't know what I would do in this situation since I am a white man, I would probably go but refuse to participate because I would be vulnerable to being blacklisted.
