More than likely, the system is filtering you out. Make sure your resume has specific keywords from the job posting, and it has simple and clean formatting. I can understand scrolling to the bottom, but try to find new job posts.
Hello greetings from London I am.also looking for work..not having any luck after 3 years of trying even basic jobs in supermarkets temp.over Christmas for extra money..nothing Best we start our own company.
That’s what I’ve decided to do. I used to stack cash and everyone would be like, why’d you choose this path. I was always like, I didn’t, it chose me. I used to hate being a pipe-fitter/boiler maker, I eventually got my B.S. degree and the energy sector were the ones that wanted to hire me b/c I came up through the crafts. Well, now that I’m out of work, I guess another path is choosing me. Plus a business is something I can pass down to my kids. JS
I know EXACTLY how you feel. I haven't worked since before covid bc my son was still small. At the time, i was working as a pre-k teacher at a daycare that didn't come down on moms that brought their sick kids in. So when I found out about covid being so harsh on small children at first, I freaked out and put in a leave of absence. They ended up taking my leave of absence as a resignation of employment. So I stayed home. Fast forward to high school clothes got more expensive, so did shoes! Football equipment, physicals, away games...you get it, I'm sure! Add your husband getting laid off after fifteen years of being with a major aerospace company for almost three months before he got a decent job. We still haven't received his first check yet. I'm having trouble finding work with my gap in employment. And, we have gone two months without paying rent completely! The landlord has threatened eviction once in his even insulted my character! Hopefully his first check will be enough to keep him off of us for a while ..... Even though he's taking a major pay cut. Just wanted you to know, it's not just you! Hope this helps!
That has to be so intense and stressful. I am just lucky to only be 19 and not having kids to worry about. I am wishing you the best of lucky and my thoughts and prayers are going out to you and your family
They fired me right before Christmas and I just got back to work cause I had surgery smh
I can’t even get a job and I’m on child support! Crazy
I know the feeling I was applying in interviewing for over two years. Eventually, my car was repossessed and I became homeless. I grew up in foster care so I don’t have a support system. I ended up just cleaning houses on my own as a small business. You may need to do something like that and just work for yourself while you wait to hear back from other people.
I have been at breaking point more times than I can count I almost had a heartattack at 37. My own father sold me out for money. You yourselves limit and put the cap cap on what your capable off. I have been homeless for 4-5 yrs. Know i have have 28 yrs in trades all around i can go for builders, electrical unfortunately school hours lapsed but work hours good forever and dabbled in plumbingfor 3 yourselves. I suffer it out talking gigs jobs from craigslist and pickedup any other jobs build my credit back and final goy approved for a truck . I ain't saying it happened over night. But I refused to except failure. You just have to keep it pushing forward motion always forward.
They keep saying they need to import more people for work. The problem is they’ve imported so many people that there’s not enough work for the people that are citizens anymore.
i agree with here it seems like when you apply for job they blow you off and never reply back or call you back these nit picking employers do .
I am right there with you. I honestly think it is the state of the job market. I have been looking for 8 months and have only had two interviews total. It is really rough out there.
Bottom line, everyone is using AI to do their job while they are on TikTok… that’s the bottom line and you, I and the other millions of people looking for work don’t mean a thing…
sad but true :((
System is definitely filtering you out. Resume needs to get redone, tweaked. I did this and after 2 months of failed attempts I landed an interview 2 days after I reworked my resume.
Location?
I’m about an hour west of Savannah Georgia. My last j one have been in the Savannah area so I’m fine with commuting. The last job I was commuting 65 miles each way but luckily it was only 4 times a week
These companies are relying heavily on AI to filter implicates. While, to me at least, it’s the exact opposite of finding the right candidates to explore, it’s a very real tool that companies are using and if your resume doesn’t contain very specifc”Key words or phrases “ you are automotically eliminated from the applicants, no matter how qualified you are. This is a FACT. You can try applying directly on the employers website. That may push your resume ahead, or do what I’ve done…..if you trust and count on AI to help determine your work force, I would avoid the employer at all cost. You’ve already been set up for failure if they utilitize AI to include or exclude you for a job….based on “trigger words”.

I think a lot of companies are just not hiring right now. I am seeing where more and more are laying off mass amounts of people. And there are a lot of applicants for every open position. You are not necessarily doing anything wrong.
water cooler how old are you now i am 61 and having a hell of time getting job or even landing a job now.
Dude, you're 19, stop crying there's people with "real" problems looking for work
Where do you live .my job is hiring in Murfreesboro Tennessee
Hey Warehouse Assoc 1,
Do you know anyone looking for warehouse Assoc. in Columbia area? I was up in Franklin at a good place for a while last summer, personal life circumstances caused that to end.
My local place has cut our hours so much, they don't return our texts or calls for when we should report. (what do you expect when your friend finds you a gig on Facebook )
Thank you

The recruitment process is broken because of the "digital divide". Network with everyone you know, make sure your resume is concise and well written to attract the attention of employers and for the position you want. Do a mailing to targeted companies you want to work for, the old school approach can be a plus. Try to get to the actual contacts to send your resume to. The boards are next to impossible.
