[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?
Is testing a sunset industry?
I’ve never identified with anything more

Good question.
You should definitely assert your request for the pay you think is most appropriate for the role. Give the HR time to work out the best offer. If they can't do it, ask them to compensate for it with a big joining bonus. Still if they can't do it, quietly take whatever their offer letter and keep hunting for the next better offer.
Once you have 2nd offer its all about playing "counter" strike 😂
Yeah I can see that happening. Without a counteroffer I think it's harder, but the other option is to ensure there is something in the contract to revisit pay after a certain point (I made mine 6 months after) to raise base pay
If you are not going to join and sure about it then don't take the offer. Tell them you can't take it as it is not matching your expectations. If it's your first offer then take but if you are not getting better offer (ctc, facilities, variable etc) then existing offer and you won't join then please don't block the position. Someone else will get it
It depends on how much lower their offer is from what I'm seeking, what company it is and what other benefits there may be (good WLB, RSU, etc.). You can always try to negotiate too.
