I have been on an SAP Tech Upgrade Project for 7 plus months and I have been miserable. Life isn’t where it should be. Getting emails, calls, and what not over weekends is just upsetting. I am done.

We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).

Asking for a friend; but, in the world of non union digital content shoots, what are the meal period laws for crew on pre-light and shoot days? I always follow union rules to be safe and because it’s the bare minimum producers should do for their crew, but hearing about a production team not feeding their crews ANY meals and only feeling the talent and client is really getting under my skin, sounds illegal, and I want to get to the bottom of what the rules really are. I’m intrigued but I want to know 2 things:
1. Culture/WLB - how is it?
2. Realistic market opportunity/opportunity to crush quota (obv dependent on many things)

Background: Currently making 95k/160k OTE at a boutique research and consulting firm. I’m happy but we’re extremely flat with little to no opp for promotion in the next 2+ years.

Right now I’m unhappy in my role due to bad management. I work in NYC at a beauty/CPG company. I have an opportunity to move to a new role internally which I am trying to make happen just to get some sanity. I have 6 years total experience (4 + as an IT project manager/ business analyst and 2 on as a Tech Product lead) but am considering if I should consider finding a new job. Seeking some input: I am a client service manager (aka team lead) at a regtech company. I manage a small team of analysts who service the Helpdesk for a product that helps banks/ hedge funds do their regulatory reporting. I've been doing research and l've been seeing salaries ranging from 65k to 130k. I offer an MBA and a year of experience as the client service manager. What would you say is fair compensation for this role and my experience?

I want to know if anyone else feels like I do: I’ve been on 3 projects (1.5 years) and don’t feel “liked” or valued. I try to authentically connect with others and do my best work on every project team, but nothing seems to work. Even more frustrating are consistently subpar performance reviews, which make me doubt myself and my intelligence/worth. I feel absolutely useless here and can’t operate from a deficit. It’s like I’m like a fish trying to be a bird. Please help, what should I do?

Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. It’s not changing in the last several years and it’s impacting our relationship. Anyone have experience with their SO dealing with untreated anxiety? Dealing with post partum dep/anx. On my 5th day of Zoloft 50mg for the first time and the days are still really really hard. Is it the side effects? How long before I should feel somewhat better/normal? Really struggling today. Any insight into your experience would mean a lot.

My mom has brain cancer. She was diagnosed with glioblastoma last fall, had brain surgery, did a course of radiation, and is still on chemo. She’s starting a new treatment soon because prior treatment has not been as effective as her doctor hoped. I started at an ins. defense firm 3 mos. ago and I’m unhappy & always working. Don’t want to stay more than a year and a half, but I’m really worried that I’m missing out on valuable time with her and idk what to do. It’s been hard. Any advice?
