Hey guys - does anyone have recommendations for Indian wavy 5x5 or 6x6 closures? I was going to order off of Amora Renae (https://www.amorarenaecollection.co/product/thin-swiss-lace-5x5-closure/) but they aren’t restocking. I’m still getting bundles from them, but clueless on another solid company that would have matching hair (friend is making me a wig bc of a natural hair crisis I’m having, I’m absolutely clueless when it comes to anything like this)!
Industry-wide layoffs tomorrow or nah?

Honestly, I hired someone on Fiverr as a personal assistant but really I just pay them to bully me through text to go to the gym. Seems to be working
This is amazing can you please share a couple of screenshots with us
If your main goal is losing weight you can do that without going to the gym. What might work best for that is to tightening up your diet and squeezing in 2-3 workouts a week. Try have an active weekend if week days are hard.
Give a bunch of money to a friend with instructions to donate to a charity that you hate for every day you don’t go to the gym (ie, if you don’t go to the gym you’ll be supporting Trumps re-election campaign)
I would suggest doing hobbies that require physical activity or joining a local fitness club nearby. I truly believe you can have fun losing weight, it just requires alittle creativity and effort
And everything is a process! Just like getting into your respected career, it took time, dedication and sacrifice to ultimately reach your career goals. The same mindset had you focusing on your career should be applied to whatever you want to achieve!
Yes I have advice for you, you just need to get yourself in bed earlier and wake up at like 7. For the average person this means being asleep by 11 PM. You need to 1. Not drink, smoke, drink coffee after 1-2pm (but everyone is different so maybe for you, you can have coffee at dinner, or maybe not even passed the morning), next you need to cut off blue lights by 10 pm and read or listen to a book. The most important thing by far you can do for your sleep rhythm is to get 10 minutes of outside sunlight (not through a window), and try to watch the sunset if you can. Our bodies are adapted to release wake and sleep hormones respectively upon these actions. Bottom line . Sleep well, the workout takes care of itself.
I always recommend taking baby steps. It’s a shock to the system to decide that one day you’re going to eat right, exercise, meditate, get 8 hours of sleep… too many changes at once that you won’t maintain because you haven’t formed those habits yet. Instead, perhaps prioritize getting on a sleep schedule for the next 2-4 weeks (say, going to bed at 10 and wake up at 6 for a 30-45 minute walk 3-5 days a week - do not undervalue the walk!!). After getting on a better sleeping/walking routine for at least 5 days a week think about doing more “high intensity” exercise. Perhaps you download the peloton app and say you’re going to do two 30 minute peloton strength workouts a week to supplement your walks and then slowly increase that to 3 days after staying consistent for a month, 4 days after 2 months, etc. There’s such a huge pressure to go all in at once and it’s the biggest mistake people make, take it slow and good luck!!!!
No screen time 2 hours before bed. Take a hot shower to relax. Be in bed by 10. Sleep in your gym clothes. Youll be up at 6 and ready to go. Pound a black coffee and get your day going
M1, if you have any acid reflex issues, you should give this coffee a try.

Would working out at home help because it cuts down on how long you’d need/how early you’d need to wake up? That works for me.

I do it by paying for a personal trainer. Seeing that $$ go out the door in cancelation fees is painful
If you’re serious about weight loss, talk to a registered dietician that can put you on a sustainable, healthy plan to truly lose weight based on your lifestyle and goals. And keep you accountable. There’s so much bad, conflicting information about nutrition out there. I sincerely mean it when I say talk to someone qualified and not just “experts” on the internet.
I’m terms of the gym, the trick is to finding an activity or a goal you like. It also helps if you have friends to go with you as motivation. That’ll help you go on the days you reeeeeally don’t want to go.
I’m in a similar spot. I even have a rower at home… just need to start and fix my mindset. So hard sometimes!
Same I have a peloton. I was great about using it everyday then I fell of the wagon. Just need to get back on. Thanks everyone for the help and encouragement!
I suggest you make small changes each week or every other week and build up. I started with walking after work everyday and then lunch time. If it’s important you workout in the morning, then try waking up 10 mins earlier each week and do some sort of activity, stretching, quick 10 min walk. Eventually you will build a routine and you will adapt. Small and sustainable changes are definitely the way to go and there a lot of different ways to go about it.
Do u want to look and feel good? Do you want random strangers checking u out? Do you want to look good in clothes? Do you want to be able to lift furniture? Do u want to be able to pull urself up from a cliff so u don't die? Do u want to be able to run through airports while hauling your luggage so u don't miss ur second flight ? If yes to any of these questions, WORKOUT.
A lot of this advice focuses on changing your sleep schedule.
Imho, that's an entirely different challenge than finding daily motivation for the gym.
Is your issue that you don't have the right time to do it? Or just that you aren't motivated to go, period?
The best time to work out is different for everyone. If you're not a morning person, starting a new fitness habit early mornings will just be very tough.
How about middle of the day? Are you WFH? I block 90 minutes during my work day, pretend it's a meeting, and that happens to be the time of day when I am most alert and motivated and there's daylight, not much of a crowd, it's great all around.
Also curious why did your Peloton motivation fade?
