I have been taking psyllium husk capsules to help with constipation. I am looking to switch to the powder form and looking for tips on adding it to my regimen. Do you take it before or after a meal, how much and how often?

I have taken it both before with lots of water as well as after if my dinner was deathly fatty, delicious, and well you know. Make sure you drink more than enough water. I also only take it every now and then not daily.

I took the capsules. I followed the recommend starting dose and increased accordingly as instructed until reaching my desired routine. You will want to be slow with it and get to your “dose” that works for your body.

Take it daily 2 tbsp with one glass of warm water in the morning. Add couple of tbsp of ACV too.

Psyllium didn't do anything for me. I use either miralax, which my Dr says is OK for every day use, or I use small amounts a magnesium supplement that also can aid with constipation but very sparingly on the latter. In large amounts it's what is used in colon prep. But I have issues with muscle spasms that I was recommended to take extra magnesium for.

A senior manager sent me a text today to ask if I had sent an email last week, and if not, they would send it right now. I am on PTO today. Am I wrong to feel that was not appropriate? I’m jealous of my husband’s work situation. He is in a non tech role at FAANG and makes the same as me ~$200k but works about 20-40 hours a week and then spends the rest of the time napping, & watching tv. He gets his work done quickly, attends meetings and has really great relationships to where people think he’s a superstar. To be fair, when things hit crunch time, he’s working hard and late hours, but it’s definitely a more balanced life. Are all faang companies work/life balance like this?

My sister always complains about wanting to lose weight (I weigh ~30 pounds less than her) but when I offer her solutions she turns them down. I tend to eat vegetable-focused and high protein meals when I cook and avoid processed carbs (except when I go out of course). She says my diet is too restrictive when I tell her I can give her recipes and make a grocery list for her.
