My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?
Ask yourself if you want to be there long term first. If not, then begin the search process.
If you want to stay, talk with your supervisor. They need to understand your feeling towards your role at the company and your desire to learn and grow professionally. Once you have had the conversation with your supervisor, you place the ball in his court. How he reacts will tell you what your next move is. What you're looking for is some sort of defined career path or next step and what you will need to do to move ahead.
Are there any options for career advancement at your company? It sounds like the answer is no?
